Kia Optima LX for 2004
2004 Kia Optima is a midsize family sedan with a generous list of features at an affordable price. It receives only minor updates for 2004. It is offered in two trim levels- EX and LX. In this post, we will concentrate on Kia Optima LX trim for 2004.
Under the Hood
Power to 2004 Optima LX comes from a 2.4 liter inline-4 DOHC engine that is capable of generating 138 hp @ 5500 rpm and 147 pf of torque @ 3000 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission is used to transfer the generated power to the front wheels.
Fuel Efficiency
The EPA mileage estimates are 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highways. The fuel tank has a capacity of 17.2 gallons and the engine runs on regular unleaded gas.
New Features for 2004
On the LX and EX trims with an elective CD or cassette audio system, the power mast style system of previous year is replaced by an in-glass antenna. The grille has been refreshed and 16 inch wheels are available as a standard feature.
